Rain interrupts tri-nation series final between Bangladesh, West Indies
Rain has disrupted the final of the ongoing tri-nation series between Bangladesh and West Indies in Ireland.
Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first. West Indies scored 131 runs in 20.1 without losing any wicket before it started raining.
The game was stopped at 12:13pm (local time), reports the UNB.
West Indies openers Shai Hope and Sunil Amris have both hit half centuries.
If rain washes out the final, then Bangladesh will lift the trophy for their better result in the league stage.
Tigers won both their league matches against West Indies. At the same time, they came up victorious in their only match against hosts Ireland.
On the other hand, West Indies won both of their matches against Ireland.
If Bangladesh manage to win the trophy, it will be their first in a multinational cricketing event.
Tigers have played six finals in the last decade but failed to win any of them.
