No dishonour in the loss

I am satisfied with the performance of Tigers though they have lost the match against New Zealand. At one time it seemed that Bangladesh will win the match. There is no dishonour in this defeat. Everybody tried heart and soul.

I hope our players will keep their consistency in the quarter-final. Probably we will face India. Whoever the opponent is, it is not impossible to get victory if we can perform giving the best effort.

Besides, there is no favourite in quarter-final. Anyone can win in the knock-out round. I will not be surprised if Bangladesh win in the quarter final.

Though Bangladesh did not win over New Zealand on Friday, they did well in all three departments of batting, bowling and fielding. This performance will have a great impact in the quarter final.

Bangladesh could have won the match if skipper Shakib Al Hasan had brought effective changes in bowling in the last few overs. I think one pacer would have been positive for Bangladesh at that time.

Above all, Bangladesh have performed brilliant. They have shaken up the in-form New Zealand in their own ground.
