Bangladesh to participate in Kabaddi World Cup

Dhaka: Bangladesh will participate in the 12-team Kabaddi World Cup to be held India in October next.
The participating countries are hosts India, Bangladesh, South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Iran, Poland, Pakistan, Korea, Japan and Kenya, according to the website of International Kabaddi Federation.
The dates and schedule of the competition will be announced later.
Bangladesh earned bronze medal in the men’s group of the last World Cup Kabaddi held in the India State of Maharashtra in 2007.
Star Sports will be the official broadcaster of the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup. All matches will be telecast exclusively on the Star Sports network and Hotstar.
Kabaddi became a part of Asian Games in the year of 1990 and India won all the gold medals since its inception.
