Olympics: World record as Peaty wins 100m breaststroke gold
Rio de Janeiro: Adam Peaty of Great Britain set a new world record on his way to winning the gold medal in the Olympic men’s 100m breaststroke final on Sunday.
Peaty touched the wall in a time of 57.13 seconds, smashing his own world best of 57.55 set a day earlier.
Cameron Van der Burgh of South Africa won silver while Cody Miller of the United States took bronze.
