Tigers accorded gala reception
Dhaka: Tigers were given a celebratory reception on Saturday by the Bangladesh Cricket Board to congratulate the World Cup squad for their stunning performance in Australia and New Zealand.
Thousands of Tigers' fans turned up to the programme held at Manik Mia Avenue, Dhaka.
Finance minister AMA Muhith, state minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder and distinguished guests were present in the grand reception.
Legendary pop-rock band Miles and age-old heavy metal band Warfaze performed in the programme.
Almost all the players of the World Cup contingent were present at the programme. Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan missed the celebration programme due to his commitment to the ongoing Indian Premier League.
The reception ended with fireworks.
