Maradona’s rampage at match for peace

The legendary former World Cup winner caused yet more controversy following a charity game in Colombia by attacking a steward and a journalist, reports goal.com.
Diego Maradona sparked wild scenes at 'Match for Peace' in Colombia on Friday, aiming a couple of swipes of his legendary left foot at a steward before slapping a camera phone from the hands of a reporter, goal.com added.
Maradona rampage took place shortly after the full-time whistle in charity game at the Techo stadium in Bogota - a game organised to encourage reconciliation between left-wing guerrilla group FARC and the local government, goal.com reports.
Maradona struck the winning penalty in a 2-1 victory over a Bogota XI and was mobbed by fans as he made his lap of honour.
As the line of security staff was repeatedly breached, the 54-year-old responded by aiming two sharp volleys at a steward in his way.
The former World Cup winner followed up that attack by slapping a mobile phone out of a journalist's hand for seemingly no reason.
Maradona, who led Argentina to a 4-0 World Cup quarter-final defeat as coach in 2010, refused to speak to the media after the game.
It’s not the first time Maradona has lashed out at members of the media. In 1994 he fired at members of the Argentine press with air rifle.
