Great opportunity for Tigers: Mashrafe

Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza thinks that it’s a great opportunity for Tigers to win the three-match ODI series defeating Pakistan in the next match.
Mashrafe came up with the view at a hotel in capital on Saturday.
Though Mashrafe was not in the squad of the first match due to ban on him, he has not regret for that. He is really happy as Bangladesh have defeated Pakistan after a long 16 years.
Bangladesh is not thinking about the whitewash now. Mashrafe said, ‘We are only thinking about the next match. Only after the next match, we will think over the last match. We don’t want to make it a pressure on us.’
Mashrafe also said, ‘If we can keep consistency, we will win the next match. It is possible to beat any team if we can perform like we did in the first match.’
Mashrafe thinks that bowlers did not perform well like the batsmen in the first match.
‘Though Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim performed brilliantly, our bowling performance was not good enough in the first match. That does not mean that I am looking down upon the performance of Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny. We could have done better in some cases. Even after that we have won. That’s the main achievement.’
Mashrafe also thinks that there is nothing to look down upon the performance of Pakistan.
‘We should not consider this team as weak. Their bowling attack is really strong. Though there is lack of experience in the team, their strength is not to be considered weak.’
