Imrul requires ultrasonography

The biggest blow for the Bangladesh team came in their second innings of the first test at the Basin Reserve in New Zealand when Bangladesh opener Imrul Kayes was stretchered off the field with what looked like an injury to his upper left thigh.
Sources at Bangladesh team management informed, the X-ray report showed no problem. But, he will go for an ultra-sonogram as he feels pain in the injured area. Nothing can be said until the ultra-sonogram report comes in hand.
Imrul returned to his hotel from the hospital, but, it is not clear if he can play tomorrow.
Imrul had kept wicket for 148.2 overs, substituting for the injured Mushfiqur Rahim and the strain of returning immediately to open the batting caught up with him while attempting a quick single in the last half hour of play. He had to dive into the crease, landed awkwardly and just lay there motionless. When the physio made his way out and tried to rouse Kayes up to his feet, he basically buckled. He just could not support his weight on his legs.
Imrul retired hurt on 24 and was carried from the stadium on a stretcher after suffering an injury while running between wickets. The injury blighted a day in which Kayes had taken five catches as a stand-in for his injured captain Mushfiqur Rahim — a record for a substitute wicketkeeper.
New Zealand captured three late wickets on Sunday to give themselves a sniff of an unlikely victory against Bangladesh in the first test at the Basin Reserve.
The visitors were 66 for three in their second innings at the end of the fourth day’s play, with an overall lead of 122 runs. Mominul Haque was on 10 while night watchman Mehedi Hasan was run out for one with three balls left of the day’s play.
