Dalmiya thanks Kamal
Dhaka: President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Jagmohan Dalmiya has thanked former president of the International Cricket Council (ICC) AHM Mustafa Kamal for joining the Indian Premier League final.
In an email, which Kamal received on Friday, Dalmiya said, ‘It was indeed our pleasure that you could join us in our celebrations as we concluded yet another successful edition of the IPL.’
‘Your presence certainly enriched the occasion and on behalf of the BCCI, I thank you for having accepted our invitation at such a short notice and taking time away from your extremely busy schedule.’
Being invited by Jagmohan Dalmiya, Mustafa Kamal paid a visit to Kolkata on 24 May to enjoy the final match of IPL. After arrival, both chief minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee and BCCI president Jagmohon Dalmiya gave a warm reception to him, according to a press release of Planning Ministry.
During a meeting with the BCCI president on the issue of upcoming Bangladesh tour of the Indian Cricket Team, Dalmiya assured Mustafa Kamal that his country will obviously visit Bangladesh.
In reply, Kamal gave thanked to the BCCI President for the decision of his country to visit Bangladesh to play ODI, T-20 and Test Match.
