PRAN Bubble Gum Inter-School Basketball begins Thursday

Dhaka: The PRAN Bubble Gum Inter-School Basketball Tournament will begin at Dhanmondi Basketball Gymnasium here on Thursday.

A total of 20 school teams will participate in the tournament, sponsored by PRAN Bubble Gum and organized by Bangladesh Basketball Federation (BBF).

BBF President Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, also President of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), will inaugurate the meet as chief guest.

Head of Marketing of the PRAN Confectionary Shakhawat Ahmed and Brand Manager of the company Sajjad Hossain will also present the function as special guests.

The details of the tournament were disclosed at a press conference held at Bangladesh Olympic Association’s Bhaban on Wednesday.

BBF vice-president Moinul Ahsan Manju, its acting Secretary Khairul Alam Forhad, Head of Marketing at PRAN Confectionery Shakhawat Ahmed and Brand Manager of the company Sazzad Hossain, among others, spoke at the conference.

Speaking on the conference, Shakhawat said “we’ve been involved in the tournament to make basketball more popular in the country.”
