Dhaka: Dhaka: India have won the toss, and they will bat first in the one-off Test against Bangladesh. The match is being held at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah, 25km away from Dhaka, on Wednesday.

Mushfiqur Rahim says it looks like a flat pitch that will get ‘slower and slower’. Unlucky to lose the toss, he concedes. ‘If it’s hot, the wicket will break up very soon.’ Three spinners are in for Bangladesh.

Virat Kohli says India will ‘look to make the best of a good batting surface.’

‘It was pretty strange feeling for me when I was announced. I never thought I would be Test captain of India at 26. I have the responsibility of taking the team forward and it is pretty exciting for me. I have the opportunity to do something special for Indian cricket.’

India have taken five bowlers for the match.

‘Three seamers, two offspinners, and six batsmen,’ says Kohli.

India have left out Cheteshwar Pujara, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Karn Sharma. It looks like Rohit Sharma will bat at No. 3. Mohammad Shahid is Bangladesh’s only specialist seamer, with Soumya Sarkar likely to share the new ball with him.

Litton Das is Bangladesh’s 77th debutant.

Bangladesh: Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim (c), Shakib Al Hasan, Soumya Sarkar, Litton Das (wc), Shuvagata Hom, Jubair Hossain, Taijul Islam, Mohammad Shahid.

India: Shikhar Dhawan, M Vijay, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (c), Ajinkya Rahane, Wriddhiman Saha (wc), R Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Varun Aaron.
