Bangladesh conceded a humiliating 240-run defeat against India in the ICC Champions Trophy warm-up match at Kennington Oval in London on Tuesday.

In the day's match, chasing target of 325 runs, Bangladesh finished the innings at 84 for all in 23.5 overs where Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Sunzamul Islam and Mushfiqur Rahim could manage double-digit figures scoring 24, 18 and 13 runs respectively.

Tigers suffered a massive batting disaster losing three top-order batsmen -- Soumya Sarkar, Sabbir Rahman and Imrul Kayes -- within a span of 8 balls adding no more runs with their collection of 11. They were sent back to the pavilion from 11/1 in 3.2 overs to 11/3 in 4.4 overs.
 
Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah Riyad and Mosaddek Hossain also failed to stay long as they were out with in a span of 6 balls for 1 run. They were departed from 21/4 in 6.3 overs to 22/6 in 7.3 overs.

Sabbir, Mahmudullah, Mosaddek and Rubel Hossain left the ground with ducks while Shakib, Kayes and Soumya poorly out for 7, 7 and 2 runs respectively.

Delivering 5 overs each, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umesh Yadav captured three wickets each for 13 and 16 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah took one wicket each for 2, 2, 17 and 32 runs respectively.

Sent in to bat first, India scored 324 for 7 in 50 overs with Dinesh Karthik top-scoring 94 off 77 balls, including eight boundaries and one over boundary.

Number-6 batsman Hardik Pandya played an unbeaten innings of 80 off 54 balls, including six boundaries and four over boundaries, while Shikhar Dhawan was another notable scorer with a half century of 60 off 67 balls, including seven boundaries.

Karthik retired at India's 208/5 in 35th over after sharing two partnership figures of 75 and 100 runs in the 4th and 3rd pairs with Kedar Jadhav and Dhawan respectively.

Bangladesh's slow left arm spinner Sunzamul Islam broke both the 4th and 3rd pairs at 196/4 in 32.5 overs and at 121/3 in 22.4 overs respectively.

Kedar Jadhav (31) who shared an innings of 10.1 overs with Karthik in the 4th pair was bowled out by Sunzamul.

To depart the 3rd pair, Sunzamul dismissed Shikhar Dhawan who was caught by Mehedi Hasan Miraz.

Dhawan and Karthik bounced back after losing tow top order batsmen -- Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane -- quickly at 21/2 in 6.1 overs.

Hardik Pandya shared a partnership score of 86 in 12.5 overs with Ravindra Jadeja in the 6th stand to carry the team total to 294/6 in 47.5 overs from 208/5 in 35 overs. Ravindra Jadeja was out for 32 runs.

Mustafizur Rahman bowled out India's 2nd wicket Ajinkya Rahane (11 off 21b; 1x4) by a good length delivery.

Bangladesh pace bowler Rubel Hossian broke India's opening pair at 1.1 overs for the first breakthrough as he bowled out Indian opener Rohit Sharma.

Delivering 9 overs each, Rubel Hossain captured three wickets for 50 runs while Sunzamul Islam bagged two for 74 runs. Mustafizur Rahman took one wicket for 53 runs in 8 overs.

Bangladesh stand-in-captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and elected to bowl first against giant India.

India started their warm-up campaign with a 45-run win against New Zealand in a DL match at Kennington Oval in London on May 28.

After a day's break, Bangladesh will play the host England in the opener of the 8th edition ICC Champions Trophy in their Group A match at Kennington Oval in Londo on June 1.

In the remaining Group matches, Bangladesh will face Australia and New Zealand on June 5 and 9 respectively.

Both sides will hope for much improved performances with the bat when they kick off the tournament at the Oval on Thursday.
