Pakistan, New Zealand, West Indies, Zimbabwe…Is India be the next team in the list? The list describes a glorious episode for Bangladesh cricket. Bangladesh defeated all the mentioned four teams in one-day international home series. We have to wait till Sunday night to get the answer whether India will be the fifth team in the above list.

If Team Mashrafe can seal victory in the second ODI against India, our whole nation would be flooded with joy and excitement celebrating another achievement by our Tigers. They are now irresistible and obstreperous like the Tiger monogram of Bangladesh Cricket Board.

Time has changed everything. Even Bangladesh had to get embarrassed by India in June last year. One match was abandoned due to rain in the three match ODI series and Bangladesh didn’t stand with honour in another two matches.

Leaving these past miseries behind, Bangladesh is now a different team—more aggressive and self-confident. There is no way to underestimate Bangladesh team. They are marching ahead energised with the power of youth and experience.

A series win—or even a narrow 1-2 loss—would help Bangladesh leapfrog to the seventh place in the ODI ranking leaving West Indies behind, boosting the country’s chance of playing 2017 Champions Trophy.

Host England, plus the next seven highest-ranked sides on 30 September 2015, will qualify for the tournament.

Bangladesh achieved only fourth victory against India. Earlier Bangladesh used to wait for a long time for a win. Now they are habituated to seal victory against big guns of cricket. Cricket lovers of Bangladesh are waiting for another achievement— a win against India.
