India vs Pakistan, Hockey World League: India thrash Pakistan 6-1
India played Pakistan on Saturday with hopes of finishing as good as fifth in the Hockey World League Semi-finals in London.
The Harmanpreet Singh captained India lost 2-3 to Malaysia to crash out from the tournament with a largely poor show, reports indianexpress.com.
That changed against arch-rivals Pakistan as India continued the onslaught they had inflicted on the neighbours just six days back. India won 6-1 with Pakistan once again hurt by defensive disarray.
Captain Manpreet Singh said: ‘We wanted to win on the field today to show not only our proud nation but all the world that we will stand up and fight for what we believe in through sport.’
