Dhaka: Eleven new companies submitted their Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the franchise-based 3rd edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) which starts in November this year.

The new companies are: DBL Group, Sohana Group of Industries, Beximco Group, BBS Cables, Blues Communication, Networld Bangladesh Ltd, Mediacom (Square Group), Index Group, Bengal Communications, AXIOM Technology Ltd and Fiber@home Limited.

However, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that six teams will compete in the ensuing BPL.

Former champion of this T20 format domestic cricket, Dhaka Gladiators franchisee Europa Group had been suspended for ten years after the fixing scandal in the last edition.
