Team Mashrafe at Shaheed Minar
Bangladesh national cricket team is now in the Australian capital of Canberra. On Saturday they had no training but visited Bangladesh High Commission in Canberra being invited by the high commissioner.
The Bangladesh team led by its skipper attended the invitation. Captain Mashrafe Mortaza spent some time in front of the ‘Shaheed Minar’ located at the high commissioner’s residence in Canberra in remembrance of the language movement martyrs in 1952.
Bangladesh wicket keeper Mushfiqur Rahim posted the photo on his Facebook page on Saturday.
In a Facebook message, Mushfiqur Rahim said, ‘Bangladesh will play in the month of February, and take inspirations from those individuals who sacrificed their lives for our mother language, Bengali!’
Mashrafe’s team is under pressure losing all four warmup matches of the ICC World Cup 2015.
Bangladesh will play Afghanistan in the ICC World Cup 2015 Pool A match on 18 February in Canberra.
