Bangladesh-Nepal friendship fine arts exhibition begins

Kathmandu: The Embassy of Bangladesh in Kathmandu in collaboration with the Bangladesh-Nepal Friendship Society, Bangladesh has organised the Bangladesh-Nepal Friendship Fine Arts Exhibition-2018 at Park Gallery, Phulchowk, Lalitpur from 2 to 9 October.

The Fine Arts Exhibition was inaugurated by Mashfee Binte Shams, Ambassaor of Bangladesh in Nepal on 2 October  where  Gita Satyal, Acting Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City was present as chief guest. Renowned sculptor  and senior artist from Bangladesh Hamiduzzaman Khan and senior artist, writer and principal of Sirjana College of Fine Arts in Kathmandu  Madan Chitrakar were present as special guests at the inaugural ceremony which was also attended by ambassadors, diplomats, officials of Nepal government, political leaders, members of the civil society, artists, cultural activists and representatives of the print and electronic media and the expatriate Bangladesh community living in Kathmandu, says a press release.

The exhibition is showcasing various art works of total 23 Artists and photographer from Bangladesh and Nepal. The art works of noted artists Hamiduzzaman Khan, Samarjit Roy Choudhary, Ranjit Das, Saeeda Kamal, Akhtar Jahan Ivy and 10 others from Bangladesh are displayed. From Nepal side, the art works of Ragini Upadhyay, Narendra Bahadur Shrestha, Anita Bhattarai and five other artists and photographers are also exhibited.
