Dhaka: An evening of Tagore songs with Abhijit Majumder, Sukanta Chakraborty and Senjuti Barua will be held to celebrate Basanta Purnima at about 6:00pm on 23 March next at Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre in Dhaka, reports UNB.

Abhijit Majumder is a highly acclaimed Rabindra Sangeet singer from Kolkata who has done his Bachelors and Masters in Rabindra Sangeet and BEd in Vocal Music from Rabindra Bharati University. He was awarded National Scholarship by Ministry of Culture of Government of India for Excellence in Rabindra Sangeet in 2009.

Sukanta Chakraborty is a promising young Rabindra Sangeet artiste from Bangladesh. He secured first class all through in nine-year certificate course from Chhayanaut and is now a teacher at Chhayanaut.

Senjuti Barua is a teacher of Rabindra Sangeet in Chhayanaut. She is also the founder member of ‘Na-Gaan Gaowar Dol’.
