Noor laments lack of quality books
Dhaka: Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor on Tuesday lamented that quality books do not hit Amar Ekushey Book Fair although the number of stalls is on the rise every year.
He made the observation while addressing a programme titled ‘Role of private libraries to build knowledge-based society’ at the National Book Centre auditorium in the city.
The issue of publishing quality and standard books will be considered during stall allocation in the Amar Ekushey Book Fair from now on, the minister said.
He also said they will prepare a list of quality books and those will be distributed among all public and private libraries.
