Indigenous Cultural Festival held at Shilpakala Academy

Dhaka; A three-day ‘Indigenous Cultural Festival’ concluded at Shilpakala Academy on Saturday.
People of 11 ethnic minority communities of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) took part in the fest organised by Rangamati Small Ethnic Groups Cultural Institution, reports UNB.
The organisers said the aim of the festival was to enrich the national culture through preserving, promotion of the ethnic cultures.
Traditional utensils and hand-woven fabrics were displayed showcased in the festival.
Besides a photo exhibition and a documentary film screening, a Chakma drama titled ‘Dhonpudi’ was performed by Ranghamati Jum School Theatre as part of the festival.
