Dhaka: Dhaka University on Thursday conferred “Firoza Begum Memorial Gold Medal” on eminent singer Sabina Yasmin.

Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique handed over the award to Sabina Yasmin at a function at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of the university.

The function was organised by the university’s “Firoza Begum Memorial Gold Medal Trust Fund” marking the 90^th birth anniversary of the late renowned singer of Firoza Begum.
