Save The River Buriganga

A solo photography exhibition — Save The River Buriganga — by Fojit Sheikh Babu has begun at Galerie Zoom of Alliance Française de Dhaka. The inauguration of the exhibition was held on 10 December 2016.
Emeritus professor Anisuzzaman of Dhaka University, master artist Shahabuddin Ahmed and World University of Bangladesh Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Mannan Choudhury attended the inauguration.
Fojit Sheikh Babu is a photojournalist, as well as a conscious citizen. He is trying to create public awareness through the photography exhibition. He already had three photography exhibitions with the same topic. Save the River Buriganga is his 5th solo photography exhibition which aims at creating public awareness in order to prevent illegal occupation and pollution of the river Buriganga.
The exhibition will be open to all until 24 December at Galerie Zoom from Monday to Thursday (3:00pm to 9:00pm), Friday and Saturday (9:00am to 12 noon and 5:00pm to 8:00pm), except for Sundays.
