Five-day drama festival starts at Shilpakala Academy
Dhaka: A five-day drama festival began in the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) on Saturday.
Monipuri theatre organized the festival marking the 20th founding anniversary in association with the cultural affairs minister.
A documentary was shown on their activities in the last 20 years at the evening.
The most well-known performer and teacher late Guru Bipin Singh’s wife Kalabati Devi from India inaugurated the festival while cultural affairs ministers Asaduzzaman Noor was present as chief guest.
A total of five dramas will be staged. The dramas will be staged in the three auditoriums of the national nattyashala of BSA at 7pm every day.
The festival will end on December 28.
