Dhaka: Korean Ambassador in Dhaka Lee Yun-young said music is a very powerful means of making stronger bonding between the two countries and hoped that Bangladesh-Korea relations will continue to grow in the coming days.

‘Music unites people and help build stronger bonding among people,’ he said while addressing a function in the city on Thursday evening.

The Korean Embassy in Dhaka arranged the music concert, titled ‘Charm of Korea VII 2015: Woong San Jazz Story’ to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Korea.

Before beginning of the concert, the Korean Ambassador said he hosted the ‘Charm of Korea VII’ concert in the conviction that culture has been deepening friendly relationship and binding closer our two people.

He said the diplomatic relations established 42 years ago and Korea and Bangladesh have enjoyed an excellent partnership.

Politicians, diplomats, cultural activists and journalists enjoyed the concert at the International Convention City, Bashundhara.

The second concert is scheduled to be held at the National Theater Hall, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Friday.

The third one will be held at Shah Alam Bir Uttam Auditorium (Chittagong Medical Collage Main Gate) on 1 August.

This is the seventh event of the music series since 2013 to celebrate the long-standing friendship between Korea and Bangladesh.

The musical events, including the previous six events of ‘Charm of Korea’ series, were arranged as part of the Cultural Exchange Programs between Bangladesh and Korea.

Cultural Affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor and Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Abdus Salam will attend as chief guests in the two events in Dhaka and Chittagong.
