No poverty after 2024, hopes Muhith
Finance Minister AMA Muhith said on Wednesday there will be no poverty in the country by 2024 as government works for the mass people relentlessly.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of four concurrent international tradeshows at International Convention Centre Bashundhara in the city the finance minister said, ‘We hope within 2024, there will be no poverty in the country. To continue current development we need one more term.’
Some 450 companies from more than 24 countries are taking part in the tradeshows, reports the UNB.
The event is showcasing the latest in apparel manufacturing technology, yarn and fabrics and garment accessories and packaging, printing technology and machinery under one-roof for the benefit of RMG sector of the country.
Zakaria Trade and Fair International, ASK Trade and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd and Bangladesh Garment Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) jointly organised the 17th edition of GARMENTECH Bangladesh 2018 – International Apparel Machinery and Allied Products Tradeshow, 9th edition of International Yarn and Fabrics Sourcing Fair, 9th edition of GAP Expo-2018 International Garment Accessories, Packaging and Related Machinery Expo all under a common platform.
GARMENTECH Bangladesh 2018, in its 17th edition, is showcasing the latest in sewing, knitting, embroidery, laundry, finishing, dyeing, CAD/CAM, printing, cutting, spreading machinery from leading companies from across the world.
On the other hand, the 9th edition International Yarn and Fabrics Sourcing Fair is showcasing the latest collection of natural and synthetic yarn and fabric and its blends both for woven and knit sectors being showcased by overseas companies.
Alongside, the 9th edition of GAP Expo-2018 co-organized with BGAPMEA is showcasing the largest collection of garment accessories and packaging used by the RMG industry to be showcased by leading companies from Bangladesh as well as from overseas.
Besides, the 1st edition of PRINTECH Bangladesh 2018- the international Printing Machinery and Allied Products Tradeshow is showcasing machinery and technology related to apparel printing from leading international companies as printing in RMG is increasing in demand and identified as a fast growing niche segment offering scope for product diversification and value addition.
