Dhaka: Apparently voicing her frustration over the national budget for fiscal 2018-19, Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Raushon Ershad on Thursday said it is a traditional and election-oriented budget.

“There’s nothing new in the budget. This is traditional and pro-election one,” she said.

The opposition leader came up with her initial reaction to the budget while talking to journalists at Parliament Bhaban, reports the UNB.

Raushon said the Finance Minister placed many mega projects, like the new one, but many of those were not implemented.

“Let’s wait to see how the new budget brings welfare for people,” the opposition leader added.

Earlier in the day, Finance Minister AMA Muhith rolled out a Tk 4,64,573 crore budget for the fiscal year 2018-19 in Parliament.
