Thailand interested to import hilsa from Bangladesh
Dhaka: Thailand is highly interested to import delicious hilsa from Bangladesh, says its Ambassador Panpimon Suwannapongse.
The Thai diplomat came up with the offer when he met Fisheries and Livestock Minister Saidul Haque at the latter's Secretariat office on Wednesday, reports UNB.
He also invited the minister to visit Thailand to see its fisheries and livestock sector, and assess the potential of export and import between the two nations.
The minister said the government will positively consider exporting hilsa to Thailand after examining its feasibility.
He also discussed with the envoy the current condition of the country’s fisheries sector, including this year’s record number of hilsa production.
