Students set example by casting votes in festive mood: VC
Dhaka: Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman on Monday said the Ducsu polls were held in a fair and peaceful manner.
He said this after the end of the election at 2 pm, reports the BSS.
‘Students set an example by casting their votes in a disciplined way. Enthusiastic students cast their votes in a festive atmosphere,’ he said.
However, the voting to Bangladesh Kuwait Maitree Hall will be continued to 5.30 pm as the polling was halted due to protests waged by left leaning Quota reformists and Swatantra Jote leaders and workers.
The voting in Rokeya Hall was halted by the protesters and it will again commence at 3pm.
