Poorly ventilated office spaces can hamper cognitive performance

Feeling uninspired, drowsiness and difficulty in thinking — have you experienced these while at work? The nature of their job has been blamed by a lot of people for this. Yes, this could be a reason but not the only one. A new study revealed that the fusty air in your poorly ventilated workspace is most likely the culprit, reports Ideapod.
‘Researchers led by Harvard University have discovered that people working in a well-ventilated office space demonstrate significantly higher cognitive functioning than those workers in typical offices with higher levels of pollutants and carbon dioxide.’
‘Joseph Allen, an assistant professor of exposure assessment science at the Harvard Centre for Health and the Global Environment said that even a slight improvement to indoor environmental quality may have a great impact on the performance of workers.’
‘The next time you get a chance to move desks in your office, try to think whether your office space affects your decision-making process.’
