Dhaka: The Coca-Cola Foodiez November Fest, which was scheduled to take place on the weekend of 20 and 21 November, has been rescheduled.

The organisers through Facebook announced, ‘For everyone’s best interest we have decided to reschedule the event to 11 and 12 December, from 11:00am till night.’

The fest will bring together 30 food brands, 12 football teams, five music bands and thousands foodies for one of the unforgettable culinary events of the year.

The food festival which is going to take place in the Banani Biddaniketan Field will have food items for any kind of foodie featuring stalls for pizzas, burgers, biryani, Indian, local, Thai, desserts, ice cream and what not. Even the pickiest of eaters will find something to relish at this food festival.

The football teams will place group games on the first day, with the finals being on the second day. The participating restaurants and brands are going to sponsor various football teams with jerseys and post tournament dinners.

For the first time ever, there will also be a Home Chef Contest. Foodies chosen online through a small contest on Facebook will go through a Mystery Box Challenge, a Pressure Test and Championship Pin Challenge of simple local food items. Judges will select the winner based on tasting.

And after an entire day’s worth of eating and sporting, everyone can relax in the evening with fantastic music by Minerva, Arbovirus, Bivishika and others till 9:00pm. Additionally, there will be a photo booth, fun zone for both children and foodies, free Wi-Fi throughout the event etc.

Shadab Khan, managing director of Coca-Cola Bangladesh said, ‘Coca-Cola is a brand that has always stood for spreading happiness and togetherness. This initiative intends to add to those virtues by giving an opportunity for food lovers and all to spend a good time with family and friends while having their favourite foods and fun at one place. That food tastes better with Coke does not need to be retold. It is a fact that is reaffirmed by millions of people every single day in their choice to have a Coke with their meal. We have aligned with this event because we believe where there is food, there needs to be Coca-Cola. It’s what the people want!’
