Meet Goofy, a ten-year-old Lhasapso cross breed, who has a business card for himself and a seat in an office.

Goofy works at OPN Advertising in Chennai as human resource manager.

Seven years ago, Goofy lost his way and was brought to the office.

One can see Goofy cuddled on his green sofa seat in the office or at times in the agency’s ‘Thinking Room’ where the members of the creative team meet.

‘He’s an inspiration. He doesn’t bark or bite. Seeing him or cuddling him brings a surge of ideas,’ said Bala Manian, Head of Strategy.

The office is his home and other employees take turns to take him for a walk and feed him.

Though he is the ‘HR manager’ right now, there are designations for him as well.

OPN’s Creative Director Chockalingam S says, ‘The company has given him three designations — Copy Writer, Visualiser or Office Dog, to choose.’

If there’s an argument between two persons trying to push their ideas, Goofy quietly slip in and calms down everyone.
