Spanish artist’s solo exhibition begins in city Saturday
A 10-day solo art exhibition of Spanish artist Esperanza Romero titled ‘Unknown Spirit’ will begin at Gallery Cosmos-2 in the city’s Mohakhali DOHS area on Saturday.
Managing director of ADCOMM Nazim Farhan Choudhury, Head of Inditex Chair for Spanish language and culture of University of Dhaka Amparo Porta, and eminent artist Shahid Kabir will jointly inaugurate the exhibition organised by art patron Nevine Sultana and hosted by Gallery Cosmos.
The show will remain open from 12 noon to 8:00pm till 29 February 29, said a press release.
Esperanza Romero studied in London obtaining a BA honors at Camberwell School of Art (1976-1981), and a further Master Degree at the Royal College of Art (1982-1985). Since then she started an international career with exhibitions in France, Holland, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, China, Italy, India and Japan. Later, she left England and went to live in Granada, Spain. From There she continues developing her work in the fields of etching, painting and sculpture.
