Actors’ tendency to earn fame overnight irks Razzak
Dhaka: Renowned film actor Razzak on Sunday lamented that the new actors nowadays are hankering after the fame and money instead of building their career in the industry.
He made the observation while addressing a discussion on Bangla film at the Shilpakala Academy.
Razzak, widely known as Nayak Raj Razzak, said the new generation actors want to be famous overnight. ‘An artiste has to keep in mind that it will take time to earn fame in the film industry,’ he added.
Going down the memory lane, he said he started his film career as an extra character and struggled hard and soul to reach today’s position.
Prominent film director Morshedul Islam and Associate Professor of the Mass Communication and Journalism Department of Dhaka University Sabrina Sultana Chowdhury were, among others, present at the programme with Shilpakala Academy Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky in the chair.
