56 entrepreneurs get CIP cards
Dhaka: A total of 56 entrepreneurs have been given CIP (commercially important persons) awards for 2015 for their outstanding contributions to their respective fields.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu distributed the CIP cards among the recipients at a programme in Dhaka on Sunday, said a press release.
Of the awardees, 25 received awards in the heavy industry category while 15 in medium industry, five in small industry and two each in micro industry and cottage industry categories.
A CIP card will remain valid for one year and the cardholders will get privileged entrance to ministries, invitation to various national-level events and citizen’s reception hosted by the city corporation.
The industries minister urged the entrepreneurs to strengthen Bangladesh’s position in the global market enhancing quality of products.
Senior Secretary to the Industries Ministry Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan presided over the programme while FBCCI President Abdul Matlub Ahmed and Additional Secretary to the Ministry Sushen Chandra Das were present.
