Viewers were amused to see children steal the show from a professor on BBC News on Friday morning.

Professor Robert Kelly, from Pusan National University, was talking about South Korean politics, but his accidental co-commentators captured everyone's attention.

First, a small child wearing sunglasses toddled in, while Prof Kelly continued talking solemnly to the camera.

The BBC presenter notified him a child had strolled into the background, and without pausing his commentary, the expert ushered his child backwards.

He didn't even look behind him, handling the situation calmly and professionally.

However, the children were not for turning.

Following the young girl was a toddler, who rolled in behind her in a baby stroller. The toddler was followed by a woman, who took the children away into another room.

BBC journalist Julia Macfarlane posted the video in a now-deleted tweet.

She wrote: "When the kids interrupt you in the middle of live TV... A lovely moment and masterfully handled by our guest this morning on South Korea".

Fellow BBC journalist Ellie Price commented: "This is the BEST thing you will see on Twitter (and on the telly) today..."
