Information from the South African Police Service (SAPS) has it that a KZN woman strangled and dumped her baby in a pit toilet. The incident happened on last Monday at Ntombiyehlulunina, Maphumulo in South Africa.

It’s said that the KZN woman strangled her eleven months old baby and dumped his body in a pit toilet after she had a fight with her boyfriend.
She raised a false alarm after she killed the boy; claiming her baby is missing. The police were thus invited to help find the toddler. ‘The detective member who was summoned to the scene conducted the initial investigation.

The thorough investigation was conducted at the scene and it was established that something does not add up, reports the Buzz South Africa.
‘Seeing that she was cornered by the police officer, she spilt the beans. She admitted that she strangled her son and put his body in pit toilet after an argument with his boyfriend.

‘She was then placed under arrest and the murder docket was opened at Maphumulo SAPS,’ related the police service.

Confirming this incident, Major General Bheki Langa, the Acting Provincial Commissioner in the province praised SAPS members who investigated the case for exposing the evil deed of the woman.

‘It is outrageous to hear that the mother is capable of killing her own child. We hope that justice will be served and get a harsher sentence,’ said the commissioner.
Meanwhile, Brigadier Thabo Ramela, a Provincial Head of the Hawks welcomed the sentence handed to three fraudsters at the Seshego Regional Court.

The fraudsters – Ramokatse Joel Mokonoto (61), Paulos Maseka (63) and Gezani John Baloyi (55) – defrauded Bonitas Medical Aid Scheme almost R1.3 million.

While Mokonoto was found guilty of 684 counts of fraud and sentenced to nine years imprisonment, Maseka and Baloyi were both found guilty of 764 counts of fraud and sentenced to ten years.
