Former England football captain Wayne Rooney has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
The Everton star, 31, was stopped by police in Cheshire after a night out on Thursday, The Mirror reported in England, reports stuff.co.nz.
The 31-year-old striker was seen dancing on the tables and singing Oasis songs in the Bubble Room bar in Alderley Edge last night.
The footballer posed for photographs with fans inside the venue on Thursday evening. He was stopped by police following the night out and sources said he is still under arrest after being taken to a local police station where he was quizzed by officers, reports the Daily Mail.
Rooney, 31, had only stood down from England duty last week after topping his country's goal scoring record with 53 in 119 appearances.
He is playing this season for Everton, his boyhood club, after 13 years at Manchester United.
