Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday awarded 10 other players and one official of Bangladesh Under-18 Women Football Team for clinching the SAFF championship crown.

The 10 players are Ruksana, Masura Parveen, Sheuly Azim, Israt Jahan Ratna, Marzia, Sanzida Akter, Israt Jahan Swapna, Krishna Rani Sarkar and Razia Khatun. The official is Khalid Mahmud, reports the UNB.

The Prime Minister handed over cheques of financial assistance to the players and the official at her office.

Each of the 10 players was given Tk 10 lakh, while the official Tk five lakh as reward for bringing this rare honour for Bangladesh.

In October 2018, the Bangladesh team won the title of the SAFF Under-18 Women’s Championship 2018 remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament held in Bhutan.

On October 11 last, the Prime Minister awarded 19 players and officials of the 30-member football team in a reception accorded to the SAFF champions. The remaining 10 players and one official were given the financial assistance in the second phase on Thursday.
