Dhaka: Bangladesh Under-23 Football Team conceded their second successive defeat in the AFC Under-23 Championship-2016 Qualifiers losing to visiting Uzbekistan by 0-4 goals in their second Group-E match at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday.

With this result, Uzbekistan earned full six points from two matches while Bangladesh remained pointless also playing two matches.

Earlier, Uzbekistan beat India by 2-0 goals in the first match while Bangladesh lost to Syria by 0-4 goals.

Uzbekistan took the lead in the very 4th minute of the match from a free kick.

Midfielder Masharipov Jalaluddin’s angular free kick from the edge of the box hit the back of the net and the Bangladesh goalie Liton was hapless.

Captain Sardor Rakhmanov doubled the lead in the 13th minute by a header utilising a curved free kick off midfielder Masharipov Jalaluddin. Jalaluddin curved the free kick to unmarked Rakhmanov and he converted successfully putting the ball home from the box.

Defender Sardor Rakhmanov scored his second and third for Uzbekistan in the 30th minute also by a header.

Midfielder Masharipov Jalaluddin curved a cross from right flank and Rakhmanov’s perfect spot jump enabled him to send the ball into the far post.

Midfielder Abbosher Makhstaliev added fourth goal for Uzbek in the 40th minute by a header on a cross off defender Komilov Akramjon.

Uzbekistan were reduced to 10 men in the 55th minute when their forward Shagulyamov Alisher got marching order by referee Fahad Almidasi showing direct red card following a dangerous foul with Bangladesh defender Tapu.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh were also reduced to a 1-man team in the 69th minute when skipper Raihan Hasan pulled onrushing Abbosher Makhstaliev down at the top of the box and was shown a red card.
