Bangladesh maintain winning spree in Roll Ball World Cup
Dhaka: Bangladesh secured second successive victory in the 4th Roll Ball World Cup outplaying Bhutan by 9-2 goals in their Group D match at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday.
Ridoy Hosen and Arafat Alam scored four goals each for host Bangladesh. Sohag scored another goal to extend the winning margin.
Yeshi Wangchuk and Tenzin Coeda scored one goal each for Bhutan.
In his immediate reaction after the day's win, Bangladesh captain Asif Iqbal said, "We're focusing on to play match by match. We make plan a day before the each match. We want to move forward in this way."
The 7th ranked in the World Roller Skating, Bangladesh started their group campaign with a huge 19-1 victory against Hong Kong at Shaheed capt M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium on Friday where Ridoy scored nine goals for the winners.
In their remaining two group matches, Bangladesh will face Myanmar and Fiji on Sunday.
A total of 27 men's and 39 women's teams from 40 countries are taking part in the weeklong world event which is hosting by Bangladesh for the first time.
