History beckons motivated Bangladesh national football team as they face spirited Malaysia in the dream final after 15 years gap at six-nation Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football tournament schedule to be held on Sunday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is likely to witness the final match at the stadium and give away the prizes among the winners.
More than a hundred countries across the globe will be able to witness the high voltage final of the six-nation game on Sunday through 88 TV channels, including Channel 9, a Bangladesh private TV channel.
The gallery ticket price for the final match was fixed at Tk 80 while VIP ticket reserved for the invited guests.
The gate no. 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19 and 20— will open at 2:00pm for spectators while gate no. 21 will be opened for the Members of Parliament and sponsors officials.
The Channel 9 will telecast the match live from the very first moment at 5:00pm.
It has been a long wait for Bangladesh booters as they won the international tournament back in 2003 beating Maldives by 5-4 in the tie-breaker in SAAF Football Championship in Bangladesh.
After SAAF football championship they again won the coveted gold medal in South Asian Games in Kathmandu 1999 and 2010 in Dhaka as U-23 team. Bangladesh also won title of four-nation International Invitational Football Tournament Myanmar back in 1995.
Bangladesh and Malaysia so far played eight matches with Bangladesh won only one time and lost five occasions while the another match ended in a draw.
Earlier, Malaysia moved final of the tournament beating Singapore in the first semi-final in Sylhet while Bangladesh booked their final berth beating strong Thailand in Dhaka, both by the identical 1-0 margin.
