Dhaka: The Bangladesh Women's Football Team has advanced 11 places in the latest FIFA rankings.

The Women’s side ranked 103rd among 177 nations having 1003 points, to move up from their previous 114th with 987 points. Bangladesh's best ever FIFA ranking is 100 which they achieved back in 2013.

Among the South Asian nations, Bangladesh is third while India top the list, followed by Nepal. India placed 56th with 1404 points while Nepal is 95th with 1134 points.

Sri Lanka ranked 105th, Maldives 107th, Afghanistan 109th, Bhutan 113th and Pakistan 116th, of the other SAARC countries.

Germany secured the top slot with 2108 points leapfrogging USA in the 2nd slot with 2105 points while France retained the third spot with 2072 points.
