Bangladesh U-23 Football team leaves for Nepal

Dhaka: Bangladesh Under-23 Football team left the capital for Nepalese capital Kathmandu Sunday to play a preparatory match against Nepalese U-23 team on Tuesday (July 11) as part of their preparation for the four-team Group-E matches of the AFC Under-23 Championship Qualifiers to be held in Palestine from July 19-23.

The Bangladesh team will also play another preparatory match in Qatar against their U-23 team on Thursday (July 13) apart from making a three-day training camp there before reaching Palestine on July 16. Then the Bangladesh team is set to fly for Jordan from where they will travel to Palestine by road through Israel.

Earlier, Bangladesh team (190 in FIFA ranking), put in strong Group E of the AFC U-23 meet alongwith hosts Palestine (ranked 94), Jordan (ranked 108) and Tajikistan (ranked 149).

The Bangladesh team will play the first match against Jordan in July 19, play Tajikistan on July 21 and face Palestine on July 23.

Bangladesh U-23 team: Sohel Rana, Rubel Miya, M Tutul Hosain Badsha, M Saad Uddin, Masuk Miah Zoni, Nurul Naium Faisal, Jafar Iqbal, M Abdullah, Shushanto Thipura, Mohammad Nayeem, M Sohel Miah, Mahfuz Hasan Pritom, M Atikuzzaman, M Didarul Alam, M Khalekorzaman (Shabuz), Fazley Rabbi, Mohammad Toklis Ahmed, SM Monjurur Rahman (Manik), M Asaduzzaman Bablu, M Jewel Rana, Hemonta Vinsent Biswas, Anisur Rahman and Rahamat Mia.
