Dhaka: Bangladesh confirmed their semi-final berth of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-19 Championship crushing Bhutan U-19 side by 2-0 goals at All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Complex playground, Saldobato in Lalitpur, Kathmandu on Saturday.

Bangladesh will face hosts Nepal in the remaining group match on Monday (24 Aug).

Rohit Sarkar put Bangladesh ahead in the 42nd minutes of the match as he placed the ball in to the net utilizing a mistake of the Bhutanese defiance.

Just after two minutes, Mannaf Rabby doubled the margin in the 44th minutes for Bangladesh. Rabby placed the ball through legs of the Dragons defenders as well as deceiving goalie.

Meanwhile, Nepal beat Bhutan by 3-1 goals in the meet opener at the same venue on Thursday while Afghanistan defeated the Maldives also by 3-1 goals on Friday.

Earlier, Bangladesh has been placed in Group A along with hosts Nepal and Bhutan while Group B team consists of India, Afghanistan and the Maldives.
