Five members of a Bangladeshi family were killed in a fire accident after the compressor of an air-conditioner exploded at a building in Salmiat area of Kuwait city in Kuwait.

The accident took place at Bangladesh time 5:00pm on Monday.

The deceased are Rokeya Begum, wife of Juned Mia, their sons, Fahad and Imad, and daughters, Jamila and Namila. The deceased are all residents of the village of Kandigaon at Kamolganj upazila of Moulvibazar. The bodies were kept at Mobarak Al Kabir Hospital in Kuwait.

Juned Mia was out of the building when the explosion occurred. Being informed about the accident, he went to the spot and lost his consciousness after seeing his family. Later, he was taken to a hospital. He is recovering now.
