A McDonald’s customer was jailed after she climbed through the window of a drive-thru before helping herself to a soda and food.

Brazen Jessica Marie Cross was dubbed the ‘Hamburglar’ and will now spend three months in jail after her crime spree at one of the fast food giant’s outlets in Columbia, MD, reports the Metro.
The incident happened last November when Cross tried to place an order at the drive-thru window, unaware the restaurant was closed at the time.

She then realized the hatch was open, and reached in to pour herself a bright blue soda. Emboldened by the successful theft, she then climbs out of her car and through the drive-thru hatch – at one point appearing to get stuck – to step up her crime spree.

She spent 35 minutes inside the restaurant, which was closed at the time, and is further suspected of stealing $1,400 in cash that was reported missing the next day.

As Cross went to exit the drive-thru, she pulled her top up over her head to disguise herself, seemingly unaware that the surveillance camera had already caught her entering the restaurant.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Cross was sentenced to five years jail Monday for burglary and theft, with all but three months suspended.

She was also slapped with three years’ probation, and must undergo mental health counselling, as well as treatment for drug and alcohol addiction.
