PM leaves Sydney for home
Sydney, Australia: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left here for home on Sunday afternoon wrapping up her three-day official visit to Australia.
A Thai airways plane carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage took off from Sydney International Airport at 4pm (local time).
Bangladesh High Commissioner to Australia Mohammad Sufiur Rahman saw the Prime Minister off at the airport, reports the UNB.
She will reach home in the early hours of Monday (April 30).
The Prime Minister went to Australia at the invitation of her Australian counterpart Malcolm Turnbull.
During her visit, she received the Global Women's Leadership Award at the 2018 Global Summit of Women and had a bilateral meeting with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.
She also had meetings with Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and Vietnam Vice President.
The Prime Minister visited the Sydney University and paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman placing a wreath at the Bust of Bangabandhu on the University campus.
She also attended a community reception at Sofitel Hotel.
