23 killed in Baghdad bombings
Baghdad, Iraq: At least 23 people were killed in two bombings in eastern Baghdad on Saturday, security officials said, hours before the government was to lift a long-standing night-time curfew on the capital.
At least 50 people were wounded, the officials said. The first blast occurred in the Shi'ite neighborhood of New Baghdad and the second one targeted the bustling Sharqa market district.

Separately, the remains of 23 men from Iraq's Yazidi religious minority were found when a mass grave was excavated in northern Iraq, an official has said.
The grave was found near the village of Bardiyan after a tip from a local resident, a spokesman for the Kurdish regional government said.
