The woman who was saved after plunging from Westminster Bridge into the River Thames on Wednesday, was visiting London with her fiancé on a trip for his birthday.

Andreea Cristea from Romania was pulled from the water alive following the terror attack, which saw four people killed and another 40 injured, reports metro.co.uk.

‘The 29-year-old was caught on camera plunging into the water below the bridge as the suspect drove a car down the pavement before crashing it into the railings outside the Houses of Parliament.’

‘It is not known whether she jumped out of the way of the speeding vehicle or fell off the bridge.’

Architect Andreea remains in hospital in serious condition.

She was visiting the capital with her future husband, engineer Andrei Burnaz, to celebrate his birthday tomorrow.

‘Burnaz suffered a fractured foot during the attack – which happened as he walked with Andreea toward the London Eye.’

Speaking about Andreea, Paul Ciocoiu, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Romania, told Digi 24 TV: ‘According to information we have, she would be the pedestrian hit by a car and thrown into the Thames and then recovered. Ministry contacted the family.

‘We do not know when the family arrived in Britain. If the family require consular assistance, of course, the ministry provides help punctually.’
