Afghan forces kill 41 Taliban militants in 24hrs

Dhaka: Attacks by Afghan forces against the Taliban across the country killed 41 militants in 24 hours, said Afghanistan’s Interior Ministry.
In a statement issued on Monday, the interior minister said 16 other Taliban militants were also injured in the attacks, reported Press TV.
According to the report, the operations by Afghan troops were carried out in different parts of the country, including in the provinces of Baghlan, Takhar, Qandahar, Zabul and Helmand.
The Afghan forces also managed to defuse ten bombs in Qandahar and Helmand provinces.
Also, a statement issued by the Ministry of Defence states that five Army soldiers were killed in IED explosions and militant fire while on duty, reported khaama.com.
